I tried cutting out squares and filling them with an image of water that I think gave a nice texture to the image. I am really liking how this one is turning out!
I like this a lot and the textures are awesome! I think adding more color might be fun. It could still be a color that feels calming and give the same vibes. Just something that allows the image to feel less washed out? Maybe a light pink or lilac in some of the water textures?
This is what I've made! I just made a few minor adjustments to the piece and messed with the white in the background. It started as an accident while exporting the image but I really like it.
I got rid of my little hamster from the image and added an overlay of my journal. I think it ties the image together more and adds a nice effect. I am doing laundry tomorrow so I'll get some pictures of that and add it to the image.
I began this piece wanting to make something classically beautiful but then came out with a commentary on my own work. A lot of the time I get into my own head when it comes to things I make because they're a little strange and it's hard for me to recognize that something I make is good because things can get weird. This is showing how I hold myself back because of the fear of going too far. The first image is how it exported and the second one is the cropped version. I might like the first one more but I'm not sure.
